What I Know Now

I was caught completely off guard by the financial crisis. I don’t care if Nobel Laureates, Chairmen of the Federal Reserve and Harvard economists were also fooled; it still made me feel like a putz. Though I do have several excuses, none very good. More >>

An irrational belief in rationality.

Paul Krugman and I don’t often see eye to eye. I know he’s won a Nobel Prize, and gets to write a column for the New York Times and all that. But he can really bum me out. He’s so tireless in pointing out everything that’s wrong with our economic system, you’d think whatever prosperity that system has created over the last two decades was just an inevitability, made less so by the tragic flaws in the system itself.
